ARA290 peptide (also known as Cibinetide) is a synthetic 11-amino acid peptide derived from the Helix-B domain of erythropoietin (EPO). It selectively activates the Innate Repair Receptor (IRR), retaining the anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, and tissue-protective activities of EPO while lacking erythropoietic activity-thereby avoiding risks associated with EPO, such as increased blood viscosity and thrombosis.
